At our GENCOM meeting this Sunday, the presentation and discussion will be about the electronic databases that are provided by our Broadmoor Branch Library Genealogy Department.  The focus of the program will be on the MyHeritage Library Edition database, a new service provided by the library that can be accessed free at the library and remotely from the comfort of your home.

As I was researching for the presentation, I found some information about of which I was not aware.  Ancestry Library Edition is offered free of charge at the library but is not accessible from home.  But, did you know that has over seven hundred FREE indexed record collections that are available by simply obtaining a FREE guest registration.  Most of the record collections are indexes, but they are still free to search and use.  Information on obtaining a free guest registration can be found at Ancestry Guest Registration.  This registration provides not only access to the Free Index Collection Page, but to other free services as well.

Here is a list of some of the 700 free indexed record collections.  Note that this list will change from time to time.
 Happy ancestor hunting.
